The Exchange has created a dedicated Investor Grievance Cell (IG) which receives all the complaints from inventors/clients against the members and takes them up for resolution with the member.
To lodge a complaint against the Trading Member, the investors/ clients are required to submit a duly filled up Complaint Registration Form.
While filling up the form, the following should be ensured:-
- Claim amount and statement of calculation should be clearly stated.
- Copies of documents in support of the claim should be provided.
- Copies of correspondences exchanged with the member should be provided.

NCDEX has established an Investor Protection Fund (IPF) with an objective of compensating investors in the event of defaulters' assets not being sufficient to meet the admitted claims of investors, promoting investor education, awareness and research. The Investor Protection Fund is administered by way of registered Trust created for the purpose.
The Investor Protection Fund Trust, based on the recommendations of the relevant Committee, compensates the investors to the extent of funds found insufficient in Defaulter member's account to meet the admitted value of a single claim of an investor arising out of defaulter member. The maximum compensation limit payable, from the Exchange Investor Protection Fund (IPF) has been revised from Rs.2.50 lakh to Rs.5.00 lakh w.e.f. Feb 12, 2020. Such revision is applicable for all claims settled out of Trust, wherein settlement is done post the date of revision of such limits i.e.February 12, 2020. The maximum amount of compensation available against a claim of an investor against defaulter member would be the actual amount of claim or Rs. 5.00 lakh whichever is less.
